For those interested, this is my Shirley line. Demaris was my grandmother and George Marion Shirley>, her father.
The Shirley family followed a very similar path as the Hughes family and some of the Garretts as they moved westward to settle our great nation. Most settled in or passed through Blount Co., AL.
