Samuel Tennis Hughes

This is my dad's oldest brother, Uncle Sam. His full name - Samuel Tennis Hughes. He was also the first Uncle on Dad's side to pass away. He was a fun loving person and I loved seeing him when he came by our home. I can remember as we were growing up, he would always tease and make me laugh.

Myrl Hughes

Here is a more recent picture of Uncle Myrl. He is pictured here with his sister Ruby Hughes Maples and his daughter Jamie Hughes McDonald. The above picture was taken at my parent's home. The picture below was taken at my grandparent's home about 60 years ago. Those in the photo are Edward Myrl Hughes, Richard Marvin Hughes, George Henry Hughes, Samuel Tennis Hughes, Ivy Hughes Maples, Ruby Hughes Maples, James Martin Hughes, Demaris Shirley Hughes. In the background is Myrl's wife, Edith Crow Hughes, and George's wife, Mary Widner Hughes.
